JEFFERSON COUNTY — One person is dead and two others were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Jefferson County Tuesday afternoon, November 28th. It happened around 3:00 p.m. on State Highway 16 near County Highway F in the Town of Ixonia.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, initial investigation shows that a car traveling westbound on State Highway 16 crossed the center — striking a pickup truck head on.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified as 75-year-old Alvin Wolter of Oconomowoc.
The front-seat passenger of the car and the driver of the pickup truck were transported by EMS to Summit Aurora Hospital. The front-seat passenger in the pickup truck was not transported.
The crash remains under investigation by members of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Major Accident Investigation Team.
